I had a pretty unpleasant sickness and " the other " a week ago , and my digestive system is stil very uneasy .

Can anyone suggest something to settle it down . I am going to the loo several times a day , but not the runs .

I have only half a large bowel so things move quicker 😱 TIA PP

Good old fashioned Kaolin and Morphine. Rarely stocked nowadays - but it can be found. A teaspoonful works a treat. I keep it for special occasions :-)

Thanks Marz .

Is it still ok to take if you haven't still got dia😕

Yes - the kaolin lines the stomach/gut and the morphine kills the pain and settles the nerve endings ...... well that has been my experience after over 40 years with Crohns. I rarely use it - only for emergencies ! Hope you will soon feel better :-)

Just phoned the chemist and they have it for the princely sum of £2.60 lol

Thank you Marz

Wow - a bargain. The old things can often be the good ones 😊 and cheaper ....

I really didn't think I'd get it, but small chemists are usually the best .

I have had one spoonful 😕 and my tummy feels calmer already .

I could kick myself because I am of an age to know this lol

Thanks again Marz x

Ilove tried and trusted medicines Marz . I had completely forgotten about this one. So glad you mentioned it.

Brandy and Port is especially good and does no chemical damage to the microbes...

Thanks for your reply .

I like slippery elm powder. You can get it from Amazon or probably your local health food shop.
