AF stress dosing

Does anyone know if you need stress dose with high cortisol when ill?

I can only find an answer re low cortisol. Thanks

A stress dose of what? How ill are you? If you have high cortisol and you have a bad cold I wouldn't change anything.

And in your title - does AF mean Atrial Fibrillation? Or Adrenal Fatigue? Acronyms shouldn't be used if there could be any doubt about what they mean.

Apologies Adrenal Fatigue, I'm on Holy Basil and Relora and guess I have a cold or viral infection but just wasn't sure on the whole stress dosing thing. I shall just continue on current dose thanks

do I understand correctly that your cortisol levels are high? At all times?

'stress dosing' is used by those on adrenal support (hydrocortisone or cortex) for low cortisol, hypoadrenalism or Addison's when a sudden stressor occurs. A healthy body would make more cortisol available, those with adrenal problems have to provide the extra amount.

Please keep an eye on your cortisol levels, high can turn to low with continued stress.
