Do these things link at all? I'm very run down this week and questioning how to better manage my life.

Yes I'm now under a rheumatologist and she said majority of her patients with autoimmune diseases are on Aciclovir I'm now on 400mg twice daily. I do feel run down but I think she said it affects the nerve endings and makes them more sensitive hence the regular break outs. So might be worth asking for a regular dose to help prevent breakouts.

Really, wow that's quite full on. It's the first one I've had since about last May which is a long time for me, normally get a couple a year. Only been diagnosed since Feb time.

Yep, miss fg says it all - I'm not on acyclovir but have been offered it. Makes me worse so I don't bother. I currently have a huge cold sore on my top lip making me look like Hitler. Fab eh! Just as well I rediscovered my sense of humour really. I'm graves BTW not hypo but AI hilarity reigns supreme whichever way the thyroid heads it seems.

Certain foods seems to trigger - chocolate eggs dairy are my worst offenders.
