I have been trying to order T3 from a well recommended supply, my first try failed due to not being able to pay with an online transfer. So I have tried again with the option to pay by money gram. The payment is to somebody in Serbia! Looks like I can do money gram online. Any body else do this and make payments out side of Greece?

Losing the will now
Truth is I don't care at all who or where I send the money as long as I get the goods. I was just asking if this is how the process works. This is my first online order so I don't want to send a shed load of money to some random person in some random country and then not get my order, and then everyone saying "why did you send the money to Serbia when it's coming from Greece" geeze Louise I just asked a question!!!
Thank you for that reply.........
I have And received my goods yesterday
I also ordered from Greece (Cyprus) and the payment was made to Montenegro. Apart from the extortionate transfer charges because it is not part of The EU the transaction went well and goods arrived as promised.
If your bank generally has high fees for wire transfers it doesn't have anything to do with the fact are you sending money to account in EU or not. It's all overseas and considered as international transfer. Just to mention, I work in one bank here
Oh right, I was told by my bank that if within EU it would cost 15 quid as opposed to 25, plus paying the charges for the receiving bank in Montenegro. It makes it expensive, but can be somewhat negated by ordering the right quantity once the optimum dose is found.
Your bank is not telling the truth. Mine often does that as well when faced with any unpleasant questions. Unfortunately, I have to work for them... I am sick and need money for all meds.
Pixielula, I understand your concerns and what a sensible question. I had exactly the same situation....when I saw the word 'montenegro' in the transaction, alarm bells rang. I clarified with the supplier why this was, and they fully explained and I was reassured. same as teefin1, I had bank charges of about £25 I think, but I just 'swallowed' that. The order arrived as promised. Hope that reassures you.
DebbieF, why be so rude, she was simply asking a question many people would also be concerned about. This is a forum for people to express concerns, not get berated for asking a question
I just bought Liothyronine from a pharmacy in Zurich. Having paid £480 per month on a private prescription for T3 in the U.K. I decided to investigate other options. Luckily my husband was traveling to Zurich. A year supply will cost around £ 140 in total. Saving me £6,500 per year. It's worth a trip abroad once a year.
Weld-lady and Rowan-1 - can you tell me who makes your T3? My pharmacist told me they didn't stock T3 - which may be the case of course. Was the Zurich pharmacy the one in the railway station? And how much was a year's supply if you don't mind me asking.
It said on the money gram that the charge would be £2.99 will there be an additional charge on top of that? Would I be better to use credit card or debit card on the money gram payment
I used Sainsbury's as they have a Western Union facility and paid cash. Previously I'd done a bank transfer that cost me over £31 in charges.
I just work for an bank Andrewyy, I don't own it so you don't have to apologize
Hmmmm. Ignoring the slightly snappish tone rowan-1... I live in Switzerland. I am prescribed levothyroxine. If I knew the details of the T3 - the pharmaceutical company - that was apparently sold in Zurich I would ask my doctor to prescribe it. He claims never to have seen T3 as I take it ( from Greece). You dig?????!
I tried to do money gram payment online tonight and the transaction was refused by my card issuer. So tomorrow I will try cash in the post office or Tesco ....
I assume we're using the same supplier. I paid mine in cash via Western Union in my local sainsburys to someone in Serbia. The fees were a fraction of the cost the bank charged when the company accepted bank transfers. I got a text the next day to say the money had been collected and my T3 arrived 3 days later.
I recommend Transfer wise to send money abroad, they only charge a couple of pounds and the service is fast and reliable. Have been using them now for more than a year and do no have any complaint.
Quite, I wasn't criticising the supplier I was just giving my observations generally on using WU.
