Interested to hear if your hair recovered or not from hair loss with taking levothyroxine... If it did recover was it months or a year?

hw7342 I didn't have hair loss so can't help about how Levo helps, but don't forget that your BH results show very low ferritin and that is something else that causes hair loss, so maybe you need your ferritin to be at it's optimal level before you see an improvement with your hair.

Not with levo, even after I was on a very good dose with good blood results. After I added t3, then it came back.

hi punctured bicycle. with your good bloods on levo did you then add the T3 on top or reduce some of the levo? How long did it take for you to notice your hair improving with the t3? I had good levo blood results 6 weeks ago but still felt rubbish so added in a little t3 3 weeks ago. I do not have any signs of overmedication atm. At first i felt so much better with the T3 but now i have slumped and i am back to feeling the same as before.

Well I had a doctor who was a bit of a loose cannon :-) who decided to add 10mcg t3 without reducing my already sizeable dose of levo (I think at the time it was 150) and I did become overmedicated in the end.

There is no scientific explanation for it (maybe ratios, I don't know) but you can't argue w the results. Within a short time - weeks? a month? a couple of months? - I noticed a halo of shorter hairs around my longer hair. Even my temples filled out and they have always been thin. My eyebrows are also better. I still have a lot of hair fall, but it seems to grow vigorously as well, so make of that what you will. It means it always looks a mess because it is all different lengths, but as long as it isn't thin I can't complain.

How much t3 did you add? I tried 5 which did nothing for me, so I went to 10 which was the magic number.

Yes, it did. Although there was a concerted effort to bring down stress levels as well (daily yoga and resolving problems).
