i just wanted to get a few opinions, ive just been told that i need to try not do any strenuous exercise ( like my body combat) as this could deplete my t3? and therefore weaken my system and the pills im taking.
is this true? i love to exercise although i haven't managed to do any for a while. im guessing walking is ok?

You'll know if you've done too much. I used to feel fine at the time but crashed almost immediately after. With TSH and B12 levels like yours though, it might take a few weeks or even months to get back to where you were before. If walking feels fine, and you don't feel exhausted afterwards, I wouldn't think you're doing yourself much harm, and if it makes you feel better in yourself, then that's good. Don't expect to lose any weight yet though. You won't until your TSH is much lower. Be kind to yourself while your body heals. 😊
It's just that everything you do, uses up T3 - that's why we have T3, to allow us to do things - internally and externally. So, the more you do, the more T3 you use up, leaving very little for everything else. And, if your thyroid gland isn't working properly - and you may or may not have conversion issues, but depends also on how much hormone replacement you're taking - you cannot easily replace that T3. So, things like your heart, and your brain, and all the other organs suffer and can't work properly.
When you are on an optimal dose, and your T3 level is optimal, then you can find out just how far you can go without knocking yourself out. But, for the time being, just gentle walking, swimming and yoga is fine.
Would you say my TSH is low, I really need to lose weight. I'm on 75mg Levo alternating it with 50mg the next day. I've 3 stone to lose and desperate, hate being overweight! Would walking 10,000 steps a day be the best exercise to burn up excess calories?
Your TSH is totally irrelevant. In this case, it has nothing to do with anything. It certainly isn't low TSH that stops you losing weight.
However, your FT3 looks low - impossible to say with any certainty without the range - and it is low T3 that stops you losing weight.
It's nothing to do with excess calories, that's the point I keep trying to get across. It wasn't excess calories that made you put on weight, it was low T3, so how is using up excess calories (which I really doubt you have) going to make you lose the weight? It's not logical. What you need to do is raise your T3. And, you are not on a high enough dose to raise your T3, you're still on a starter dose.
Obviously walking 10,000 steps - although I have no idea what that represents, how far it would take you, seems like rather a red herring to me, counting steps, and might be a little too much for you, no? - obviously some walking would be good for your over-all health, but it won't make you lose weight because your weight-gain has nothing to do with calories.
unfortunately they weren't tested in my first set of bloods - however ive asked for them and so in October ill get a thorough testing. so it can tell more of a story.
If your TSH is 5.8, then your FT3 is probably going to be too low. Too low to lose weight, anyway. You are still on a starter dose. How long have you been on that dose?
only 2 weeks im afraid - so i have until the mid of October before they will test again. what i can say is that the tiredness has got so much better, i can stay up past 9pm now which is unheard of. im still waiting for the weight to begin to go down in the right direction and the hair to become thicker, but i also know its a long process.
OK, so your FT3 isn't as low as it looks, because the range isn't very wide. It's just over mid-range. But, you'd probably need it higher to lose weight.
