Mandy72,

You feel crap because you are under medicated. A telephone call to tell you to increase dose takes less time than a face-to-face appointment.

just seems a waste of time to be honest

i know i need to increase

dr knows im struggling to increase

shes going to tell me to increase

im going to say i cant, she will then prob increase my propranolol so i can increase instead of see why i cant increase

same old broken record

Mandy72,

Beta blockers can reduce T4 and T3 levels so try not to increase Propranolol and try increasing thyroid meds slowly and gradually. If you feel over medicated after a dose increase go back to the previous dose for a week or two and then try increasing again.

Just a thought mandy72 - have you tried taking your thyroid hormones at bedtime as, hopefully, you may not have quite such a difficult time during the day.

i did try the normal dose during the day and a 6.25mcg at night

it did increase my heart rate but i slept as i take melatonin

I was on propranolol for 17 years (couldn't tolerate Levo otherwise - was completely immobile)

personally I found it much better to take low steady dose of propranolol everyday (usually 4 x 10mg daily - but sometimes after Levo dose increase 4 x 20mg daily)

Yes it does slow conversion, but the idea is that it allows your adrenals to rest, recover & improve.

I found taking Levo at bedtime much better.

See profile for more info

Since going gluten free my adrenals recovered so much that I have been able to stop propranolol. ( you have to reduce dose very slowly before stopping)

Not what you're looking for?
