UK doctors tend to persuade women to resume Levothyroxine for the duration of their pregnancy. American fora like hypothyroidmom.com thyroidsexy.com and Mary Shoman are more likely to be able to answer your question.

Thanks . I've been researching since and also come across Dana Trentini. I am not at all concerned now about my suppressed TSH and intend to have a full discussion with the GP and take along all the information I have. I also intend to continue on the NDT - I've done really well and still am. Lots of women have taken NDT throughout pregnancies and hardly had to raise their medication. As long as we keep an eye on the ft4 and ft3 I'm feeling confident about what can be achieved . 😀

Oh really ? I'd like to hear more if you're willing to share .

I've gone through the fear and now feeling much more empowered - not that I'm looking forward to the conversation but they can't force me up do anything I don't want and my feeling is that if something's working then it should be honoured and not misunderstood . I might be pleasantly surprised - I'm a reasonable person of good health and I obviously know what I'm doing... Let's see........

Do you have FT4 in 75% upper level on NDT ?.TSH is suppressed for some during first trimester and levo is adjusted based on FT4 levels. In Placenta conversion T4 to T3 takes place for foetus.
