Can you give us a bit more information, please, Lindsey?
What are your lab results - with ranges?
When were you diagnosed?
What are you taking, and how much?
Why do you think you have side-effects - side-effects or symptoms?
Dont have any lab results as was just told by doctor
Was diagnosed end of june this year
Am taking levothyroxcine 50 micrograms
Not sure think i may mean symptoms i.e hair loss, tiredness, short tempered, unable to sleep to list but a few
You have to ask for your results, doctors don't just hand them out as a rule. Even though it is your legal right to have a copy under the 1998 Data Protection Act. So, just ask the receptionist.
When you get them, post them on here, with the ranges, and people will be able to advise you.
You should have a test six weeks after every change in dose. So, if you if you were put on 50 mcg levo at the end of June, you are due a retest.
When you go for the retest, make the appointment as early in the morning as possible - before 9.0 am, and fast over-night - just drink water. Leave 24 hours between your last dose of levo and the test.
Hair-loss could possibly be due to the levo, but the rest sound like hypo symptoms.
