Fed up...: Hi. Ok. Heres the thing. Was diagnosed... - Thyroid UK

Go to your surgery and ask for a copy of your blood test results. If the receptionist asks why simply say "For my own health records as I am legally entitled to a copy under the Data Protection Act 1998"
You may have to pay up to £10 for them and wait a few days as permission has to be gained from the doctor to give them to you.
When you eventually get them start a new thread and post them up here in the form of:
test test result (range) e.g.
TSH 4.5 (0.36-5.5)
FT4 14 (9- 26)
If the receptionist is difficult come back here and say so as there are a few things you can do to get your test results.
Katylou,
Ask your GP to increase dose. Most patients will feel better with TSH 1.0 or lower, but some will need it suppressed <0.1. Read Treatment Options in thyroiduk.org.uk/tuk/about_... Email louise.warvill@thyroiduk.org.uk if you would like a copy of the Pulse article to show your GP.
Hypothyroid patients often have low/deficient ferritin, vitamin D, B12 and folate which can cause fatigue and low mood similar to hypothyroid symptoms. Ask your GP to test.
