Endo recommendation

Hi I am from Derby, Midlands and would appreciate a endocrinologist recommendation either NHS or private. I plan to ask my GP for a referral but would rather suggest one than be put on a list to see any of them. TIA

Dr Hisham Maksoud. He works from Nuffield Derby and Nottingham. 2 of my friends have seen him and both have improved massively. The first friend more so as he prescribed a private prescription for T3. My other friend is improved too but he advised her to start amitriptilne for fibro and oestrogen patches which have helped but she still need more help. That was only her first app though. He is a very nice man and listens to your needs. He also checked her vital Vit and mineral levels and advocation high dose of Vit d etc.

Thanks for yout reply. Do you know if this DR looks at Adrenals as I know some doctors dont. Thanks

Sorry I don't know for certain about the adrenals. However he did talk to my friend about the importance of relaxing and keeping stress levels down so I presume he was touching in the adrenal connection.

Just googled him and he does look at adrenals 😃

Thank you for posting and replying - my GP is advocating a 'wait and see' approach to my treatment, because my thyroid hormones are 'normal', despite me having Hashi antibodies. However I'm suffering a range of horrible symptoms and need help. GP is very willing to prescribe anti-depressants and talking therapy which is frustrating as I don't even feel depressed, just the low mood on occasion associated with the condition.

I will ask for a referral to Dr Maksoud.
