Dear Diogenes. Would you kindly explain (translate) the findings as I can't fathom what the paper says. Thank you again for your posts which are much appreciated.

I am pleased for you and your team that it is finally online and I do hope Endos read and accept the findings so that it isn't such a struggle for patients.

As a result of this, we're preparing what might be the final mini review pulling everything together. If successful this should appear later in Frontierss in Endocrinology

Hopes are raised :) and it's a pity you are all kept on tenterhooks and the whole forum are behind you and your team. It's a ridiculous state of affairs I think, but slow and steady can bring rewards.

For everyone's use, I've sent the paper to Louise Warvill as a full paper, which you can access I'm sure through her. It's the only way of avoiding payment etc I'm afraid but as TUK is a charity I don't think the journal will be too worried.

Diogenes, although the math is a challenge the conclusion I couldn't agree more with.

"This emphasizes the need to consider the patient as an individual with a unique physiological makeup and argues against the statistical approach of simply consigning subjects to particular diagnoses based only on whether their results lie within or without the respective reference ranges."

A First Principle often forgotten, 'Biochemical Individuality', hoorah! PR

I would love to comment intelligently on this, but struggle to understand a lot of the terminology. I THINK it is saying something like "Everyone is different", but am probably wrong.
