Hi Captain-Morgan,

It took me at least 2 months to feel the good of it. I'm happy that I have added T3 to the Levo that I have been taking for over 30 years.

Hope this helps,

Hi sweetpea33. I've been on it 2 weeks. I started at 1/2 of 25mg for 5 days then 25mg. I'm on 100mg of levothyroxine. Still very tired and gaining weight. I've been underived active for 3 years

Nothing is a quick fix when it comes to the thyroid.

How are your levels of B12 - Ferritin - folate - VitD ? all need to be OPTIMAL for your thyroid meds to work well. Low Iron can make you feel tired = as can low D and B12. So make sure all the building blocks are in place - so the T3 and T4 can work well.

Captain-morgan,

What was your FT3 level before adding T3? You've effectively increased your dose from 100mcg Levothyroxine to the equivalent of 175mcg which may be over medicating you and over medication causes fatigue and weight gain.

I also read that just because results are in normal range the t3 may not be in the cells. I'm ready to give up if I'm honest

I had no idea fatigue and weight gain are symptoms of over medicating. So we really do have to find the perfect dose ?

Marigold22,

Like Golidlocks needed porridge temperature just right so many thyroid patients need dose just right too.
