Thyroidinum? That is prepared from thyroid gland.

9x means that it has been diluted, 1 in 100 nine time. So no, whatever the orginal material was there isn't any in it worth talking about. Technically you need to dilute 1 in 100 23 times for there to be absolutely no material at all, but there isn't enough to make any difference in real terms.

Homeopathic remedies by 'awakening' the body's own healing mechanisms. Nothing to do with hormone replacement. If you still have a functioning thyroid gland it should improve the function. If you have no gland, for whatever reason, healing would not be possible.

Hello Ruthi,

I really appreciate your reply, because I have such intolerance to thyroid hormone it was a big worry for me. I still have my thyroid. I have also been given Ars Alb 200, eggs are in one basket now, if this doesn't work, not sure what else might.

Best wishes

In homeopathic terms, it probably does contain hormone, but in "traditional" terms the level would be so minute that most testing would fail to find it. having said that, my cat has done very well on homeopathic pancreas noosodes after a really bad episode of pancreatitis (I though he would die). So, as far as we know, there is no way that homeopathy can possibly work, given current scientific knowledge, but many preparations work on animals (who don't know that it can't possibly work). I have no direct experience of homeopathic thyroid.

Hello Angel_of_the_North

Thank you for your reply. I am so glad your cat done well on Homeopathc remedies. I personally think homepathic remedies can be great for some and not do anything for others, It was great for my mum and also my beautiful Kitty Cat. I just was worried over the hormone source and amount as my body doesn't tolerate that.

Hello Reallyfedup, I have hashimoto's along with many other aliments along the way. I was mainly hoping it would help with the fibro as that can be terrible and to help aid sleep. I think once I correct everything else then the Thyroid would pick up (thats the plan)

Best wishes

If you are being purist Sandy12 then you would have to ask the homeopath if he was using the Thy9x homoeopathically or isopathically, because it has most definitely been proved, and I have used it effectively on a non thyroid patient. In this case the Ars200 will be doing most of the work, anyhow.

Kitten, there is sadly no guarantee of what might happen because the body choses its own healing path. Whatever you do go back for a review when you should, because it can be the second or third thing that causes the obvious transformation.

But no, not enough to cause a reaction. However sometimes you can get what is known as an aggravation. Your symptoms can worsen briefly, or you can get a return if old symptoms. Classically it can also be a rash, runny nose, or diarrhoea, and has to be allowed to run its course. Let it happen and it will soon pass, don't suppress it.

Hello Ruthi,

I will be going back, I really thought she was fantastic and I am really hopeful she can help. She did worn me of the aggrovation but thankfully that hasn't happened. I know my mum had great results from homeopathy and so did Joise (my cat) I am hopeful but of course still slightly worried things might go wrong, only because of my whacky body. I took Two of those Ars200 and there was a noticable difference last night : >

Best wishes

Good! Don't take any more - once the remedy has taken effect adding more will only be more likely to cause an aggravation.

Part of the magic of homoeopathy is that it is often the first time that anyone has really listened properly to the story. That in itself is quite cathartic. And homoeopaths believe everything the patient tells them - never dismissing a symptom. Its the part I find so hard to understand with conventional doctors. The patient's story is their story - how can they just ignore or dismiss?

Hello Ruthi,

These days the doctors don't seem at all interested, I have sat in the doctors surgery crying my eyes out in agnoy just to be told I was in range and that I just had live with it because it was "just how I am wired" so deal with it as there is no cure.

Oh, my notes say I am to take it for three days and if I don't feel worse then just to continue, If I do feel worse, stop it for a week and go back on it.

Your spot on Ruthi, she really did listen and I felt had a really excellent understanding, she also said she had got some of her patients of thyroid meds for good, how I long for that
