To depressing to try any more. Life long hypothyroid but I messed up agen and stoped taking my levothroid Med. Could it be my thyroid? I give up on trying agen I never feel better.

Yes, of course it can be your thyroid. Thyroid meds (t3) are being used to combat treatment-resistant depression, so that may very well be the issue. Do you know if you've been optimally medicated or is it possible your doctor has kept you on a low dose of meds just to keep you in range?

It may seem intimidating but literally all you have to do to make a change is find out your test results along with the lab ranges and post them here. It's usually simple to see if something is going wrong.

Sorry to hear you're feeling so depressed, but the thyroid part of that may be easy to fix. I hope that helps you feel more hopeful. You have to be alive to feel better. x

rachelinestes Would you like to tell us a bit more of your background so members can offer some suggestions and help you?

How long have you been hypo?

Why did you stop taking your Levo?

Do you have any test results? If so, please post them with the reference ranges (usually at the side of the result in brackets).

Have you had antibodies tested?

Have you had Vit D, B12, ferritin and folate tested? Again, post the results with ranges, if not please ask your GP to do them or get them done privately with Blue Horizon.

It probably is your thyroid so let us have some more information so that we can help.

rachelinestes I meant to ask, have you got any support to help you through this? It might be a good idea to ask for help from your family, friends or gp. You will feel better eventually but in the meantime it may help to have someone to lean on, and for others to know how acutely unhappy and unwell you feel. x
