The .88 mcg of Levothroid was actually giving me headaches every time I took it.

The T4, Levothroid, was something that I first quit taking and ended up on 50mcg of Levo and 30 mcg T3, both happenings of which I have posted, (over several months) on this site. So, to sum up my past on this Hypo journey so far: I've 26 years on T4 only, with no problems.

After hemi thyroidectomy 2 years ago I aquired hypothyroidism few months after. Synthetic t4 prescibed dose went 25 - 50 - 75 over period of time. Now 100 mg and no improvement - typical symptons = weight gain , depression and lethargy. Prepared to consider self medicating and looking for recommendations

The doctor finially bumbed me up to 100. He told me it takes a month for it to work.

I am on the generic Levothroid, whose dosage supposedly is not as well-controlled as that of the USA gold standard, Synthroid. The endo plans to reduce my dose from 125 mcg to 112 mcg and recheck my TSH in six weeks. At least she won't make me wait three months!
