for ages now ive had to stay on 20mcg split into 4 doses through the day, never ever felt good with it

pulse in 50's air hunger exhausted......you know the feeling

today at about 9.30 i took 20mcg, i figured i feel like crap with a small dose i just as well feel like crap with a bigger dose

ive felt better, stressed because kids off school but better

im supposed to be on 60mcg (no way ill stick to 40mcg) should i take another small dose or hold a few days on the 20mcg single dose?

allso been looking into tyrosine.......good or bad? (read it boosts thyroid so figured with me struggling for so long it may be of some help for me)

Mandy72,

Why did you stop taking Bititron? Chopping and changing meds and doses so frequently will make you unwell.

If 1 x 20mcg was okay try 1 x 20mcg plus 1 x 10mcg tomorrow. If that's okay build up to the 60mcg you were prescribed. Any time you feel over medicated after increasing dose, skip the next dose and cut back to the dose you were taking prior to increasing.

Mandy72,

You are under medicated. Take another 10mcg T3 when you slump. It's easier to tweak dose when you take Levothyroxine and Liothyronine separately.

ill try the 10mcg tomorrow

might be a bit late now

i resorted to a beta blocker as it was getting to the point of going to A/E

i took the extra 10mcg like you said, i took it about 4ish just as i started to feel the slump coming

now the slump is coming back

should i hold at 20, 10 for a few more days

it feels like my body has sucked it all out of me and is crying out for more

Mandy72,

You were previously under medicated on 40mcg so I think it sensible to increase to 40mcg with a view to increasing to 50mcg. If you feel overmedicated on 40mcg skip a dose and go back to 30mcg for a few days before trying 40mcg again.

im not sure if tiromel and liothyronine are the same in how they work ect

Mandy72,

Tiromel is Turkish produced Liothyronine. A recent blood test showed TSH >3.0 when you were taking 40mcg T3 so you need 50 or 60mcg.
