Not sure if it matters but have just picked up my prescription and have two boxes of Levo from differing brands.... I know it is generic but doubles checking it doesn't matter?

That all depends on yourself. This wouldn't affect many people at all but then again it does affect some. I think the fillers in mercury pharma affect some. Myself I use a combination of Actavis and Wockhardt and I'm okay ( Wockhardt are the only brand that do 25mcgs ) so I have to take 25mcg of that. Take them back to the chemist if you are not feeling happy about it. Tell them you would like the same brand in future. I think they may go up and down in price so sometimes the brands get changed without notice as we are given the cheapest

Hi,, not sure if your aware but mercury pharma do 25s as well,, it's only actavis that don't. But as your ok with wockhardt then it's irrelevant I suppose.

No prob,, it's only mercury that do all the main strengths. Have you tried mercury pharma ? I'm on actavis like you,, used to take mercury pharma but aggravated my stomach.

No, have only ever had Actavis and Wockhardt. I'd prefer to have all Actavis and I have absolutely no reason for that whatsoever. Think I like the packet :)

I'm having problems with my Drs over this. I'm taking 125/150 on alternate days. The Dr wants me to have 1 tablet of 100 mcg & the other in 25mcg, but because I won't mix the brands, I end up with many boxes in 25 mcg. This seems to annoy my GP . She commented that 'I was wasting NHS money'. This condition makes you feel bad enough without the medics mucking your medication about.

Loub37,

It's wasting NHS money if the brand change makes patients feel unwell. Your GP could prescribe you 100mcg and 50mcg Actavis or Mercury Pharma with instructions to halve the 50mcg tablets on the days you take 125mcg.

I might try & ask for that Clutter. My Drs are a bit difficult over this.

Thanks for your help.
