Following my recent visit to the QE Thyroid Clinic, and initial blood tests, I have been invited back for a Short Synacthen test … anyone have any knowledge or experience of this please?

Yes I've been to the QE for a short synacthen test 2 or 3 times.  The department has lovely nurses, it is short - about 40 minutes.  I've also had a full synacthen at a different local hospital (RHH) and it was an utter nightmare.  Can I ask you which doc has referred you for short synacthen?  An endo?   I only got my first one after causing havoc at RH hospital.  You may have to PM me the name

Yes, it will be 'normal' . Mainly because doctors don't know the difference between adrenal FATIGUE and adrenal FAILURE.
