Weird symtoms

I have lichen planus picked up by my dentist. I had a painful tongue biopsy to confirm it. I also have lichen sclerosus, dry eyes and pernicious anaemia. The latter is being treated with B12 injections, currently I am lucky and get them monthly but always subject to review. However I seem to be having weird temperature fluctuations, cold shivery at night , also muscle pains in my legs , palpitations, low mood etc. I have high cholesterol and stopped the statin but it made no difference so back on low dose statin. Symptoms are similar to PA at times but that is now treated. MY TSH is 3.8 but I wonder if I am getting auto immune thyroid issues. They never seem to do a full profile for thyroid. Reluctant to badger GP as so many with PA are getting injections stopped. These auto immune diseases do seem to go in clusters and I wonder if I am getting thyroid antibodies. Has anyone got a full thyroid profile done privately?

Gillsie,

GPs often delay testing antibodies until TSH is abnormal.  TSH 3.8 indicates your thyroid is struggling to produce hormone.  Thyroid antibody testing will confirm or rule out autoimmune thyroiditis (Hashimoto's).

You can order thyroid tests, including antibodies, from Blue Horizon and Genova via thyroiduk.org.uk/tuk/testin...
