Hi I am new to this forum . I have been diagnosed with hypothyroidism 3 years ago and taking Levothyroxine .My blood test results fluctuate for example (TSH is around 10 my dose is increased and within 6 weeks drops to 0.7 than the dose is lowered as I experience over treatment symptoms and the TSH goes up again.) I have been told than possibly my adrenals are strugling hence my thyroid is not working properly. can anybody recommend practitioners in the uk ( south west) who is interested in those conditions, thank you .

Perhaps dose is simply lowered or increased too much.
Some of us require very very fine adjustment of dose.
Have you had levels of Vit D, B12, folate and ferratin checked? These often need to be at high end of normal range for thyroid patients.
Do you have Hashimotos? Antibody tests will tell you.
If GP won't do full range of tests, you can get done privately

25mcg dose adjustments may be too much so if you feel hyper with TSH 0.7 it may be worth reducing dose by 25mcg alternate days. I'm surprised 25mcg reduction results in TSH rising to 10. Perhaps your GP could test thyroid antibodies to see whether autoimmune thyroid disease (Hashimoto's) is causing the large fluctuations.
