Ndt just arrived but just found out I'm pregnant... Should I put off the switch?

Hi, I'm Hashi's, on Levo 50 and rt3 is high. Decided to move to Naturethroid and it's just arrived at the same time as getting a positive pregnancy test. Do you think I should make the switch or wait till the 12 week point?

Just had yet another stupid endo appointment and am very disheartened that I have to rely on medical profession during my pregnancy when they don't understand hypothyroid at all. Does anyone have any good news stories or recommended endo's or doctors that can help me through my pregnancy?

Tx u.

Wannabewell, Congratulations! :)

Members on T4+T3, T3 only and NDT have often been switched to Levothyroxine only when pregnancy was confirmed as UK midwives and doctors aren't trained to treat patients on anything other than Levothyroxine.

NICE recommends the TSH of pregnant women should be in the low-normal range 0.4-2.0. Levothyroxine is usually increased by 25-50mcg when pregnancy is confirmed to ensure good foetal development.
