I was on 75levo and up to100 every three days so it was 75,75,100',bloods were ok back then but was good then got tired so tried NDT for a year which was brilliant but I kept feeling too much T3 in it ,had inflammation in one hand and I was great then felt overdosed but needed to stay on 1 and 1/2 grains ,finally doctor gave me it on perscription and started on 50 levo and 10 mcg off liothyronne ,but had to cut back again as T3 was making me feel unwell after being on over 3 weeks , up to 75 lev and about 7 mcg off T3 and 50 levoand10 mcg next day for a few weeks which seem ok but some nights I wouldn't get to sleep top 4 in morning , bloods were 15.4 forT4 and 0.02 for tsh ,got fed up after 4 months off this so back on Levothyroxine which specialist said do 50 one day and 75 next as this was dose I was trying when I seen him. !felt brilliant for few weeks now tired and cold so staying on 75 to give it time to work which I take at night , Does it take 8 weeks to tell if this is right amount for me at the moment as doctor says have to stick till we do bloods ,he is only interested in the TSH ,off course and I got only 5 mins off his time as he is so quick and just wants to get your blood results and doesn't matter how you feel in the meantime till then ,any advice please as been on the T3 nature thyroid over a year but the levo and liothyronne about 4 months ,now back to Levothyroxine as I don't get inflammation on them in my hands at least ,

MaggieMay, results will be different on Levothyroxine only. Ask for a blood test 6-8 weeks after being on 75mcg. TSH only isn't helpful. Try and persuade your GP to order FT4 too.
