If you've seen this man, please can you PM. Very impressed that Skype is offered as travelling to London would stress me out big styleeee! But I'd like to hear from your wise guys first! Found him through Thyroid UK List of Docs.

Bernard Willis - has anyone consulted with him over skype?
I have had a Skype consult now if anyone wants to PM me about the experience.
Hi
I would like to know how you got on as I am desperately trying to find a consultant who can help me. I have an appointment with Dr Maksoud soon, I read you were going to see him but not sure if you changed your mind.

I didn't go to see Maksoud in the end because he doesn't support NDT and I've been on it since for ever and didn't fancy stuffing a load of synthetic hormones in me (I couldn't tolerate them back in the day). I heard he is very kind but kind doesn't cut it in the Hashi world does it?
Hi, I have been offered a Skype consultation with Dr Willis - could you please tell me about your experience? TIA
Hi There,
My daughter who is 16 has a nodule on her thyroid gland. The doctor at UCL said she has a 20% chance of cancer so we should go for surgery straight away. Although I'm not convinced about it. I was reading about Dr. Willis. May you kindly private message me your experience with him. I would be most grateful.
I'm really stressed and don't know what to do.
Thanks and regards
I have a suspicious nodule so understand your concerns and worry. Have they done a biopsy? How have they described the nodule ie calsification, blood flow etc. Does she have any antibodies and have they done a blood test which identifies cancerous cells in the body?
My daughter was told at 16 she had a large ovarian Tumour from both a scan and MRI. Due to her exams I asked if surgery could wait especially if she lost her ovary and tube etc. as she’d be devastated.
They agreed to wait and 3 months later repeated the scan and the “tumour” was actually a blood clot caused by being hit by an illegal driver a year earlier most probably when she fractured her pelvis. The blood clot broken down and her periods went back to normal. It was a huge relief but also one that taught me to be cautious.
Hi MissFG,
Thank you for your prompt reply. A biopsy was done twice all I was told is that her risk of cancer has gone from 3a to 3f. She has high antibodies but her coeliac test has come back negative. I am going to call up ucl tomorrow and get all the reports so I can understand them better by asking the forum. Unfortunately I was out of town during her last biopsy and my husband took her to it. All he said to me was that her risk is now a 3f. That's the only bit of information I have now.
Thanks again and regards.
I’m sure once you’ve got the results you can get a clearer picture. And many will support you on here. You’ll decision together as a family supporting your daughter will be easier when you have all the facts.
I really feel for you too but please try not to get too upset and worried as that would just make you poorly too. It’s just as important you look after yourself as well. Please take care of yourself ❤️
