Am looking to do this with others with thyroid and /or adrenal problems, the people can live anywhere Worldwide if for email support, but of course for telephone support that might not be practical. We actually advise people against passing on their email addresses/telephone numbers as it can sometimes be difficult to know who people 'really' are.

I know all about the thing you are suggesting, and I agree with you that people giving phone numbers etc to just anyone, that is common sense. But nevertheless, people can make their own decisions, they are adults. This is why many prefer the email support. And the idea was to give support as well as receive it. Not like phoning the samaritans who are always on the end of the phone when it suits you and it is all one way.
