Hello, I left a message yesterday which I received some fantastic answers to, thank you. (healthunlocked.com/thyroidu...

I realised I forgot to ask about Hashimotos, and what my test result could mean, so If anyone could help me that would be brilliant.

I've seen various different reference ranges for thyroid peroxidase antibodies (TPO Ab) on the internet. For example, Mayo says <9.0 IU/mL is negative, and that "values >9.0 IU/mL generally are associated with autoimmune thyroiditis." (mayomedicallaboratories.com... However, the NHS reference range is <60IU/mL.

My test result was <33IU/mL, is this totally negative or do I have a mild case of Hashimotos? (I have symptoms and blood work of subclinical hypothyroidism.)

Thanks in advance!

It might be down to different methods to measure it. So in one lab it is 9 and with different method in another lab it is 66.

Lab I used has very different range for TPOab as well.
