Debs79, no, it's too high for someone taking Levothyroxine. Most people will start to feel well when TSH is around 1.0. Read Treatment Options in thyroiduk.org.uk/tuk/about_... Email louise.warvill@thyroiduk.org.uk for a copy of the Pulse article if you would like to show it to your GP when you request a dose increase.

Doctors says its normal, but no inprovement in myself thankyou debs x
Debs79, TSH 1.0 is normal too, but you're likely to feel much better at 1.0 than >3. Perhaps you could show your GP the Pulse article or see another GP.
Thanks ever so much for your advise, doctors have now upped my Levothyroxine to 75mg but are worried because my TSH levels started at 10.96 on 50mg dropped to 3.96 so they are worried if my tsh will drop to low.

Debs79, Well done! That should improve symptoms. I doubt your TSH will drop below range, probably won't go much below 1.0.
