I have no idea what "tci" is, if they mean suppressed TSH why aren't they saying that?

Your TSH result of 0.014 (0.35-4.94) is low, but what one would expect when taking NDT or T3. Does your GP know what you were taking at the time of the test?

But as said in your previous post, if you have changed from NDT to now taking Levo with T3, then these results if taking NDT are irrelevant now and you need to retest 6-8 weeks after changing to Levo and T3 to see how your levels are and how you feel. Or are these results - TSH and FT3 mentioned in previous post - from when you were already on Levo and T3?

These results are from last week on last day of NDT , I don't have a clue what TCI means either, personally I am looking forward to moving as I'm going to register with one of the best surgeries in Cornwall Iv done my research on that lol thanks seaside susie

"To come in" ?

It says "suppressed tci"??

in reply toSeasideSusie

Yeah, I saw.

Medical shorthand for "patient has suppressed (insert whatever was tested, in this case TSH)" "to come in".

I guess a comma would have helped to make it more clear

It's the strangest result sheet I've ever seen!

The TSH result is so low that it would likely be considered suppressed, so maybe that's what they mean.

Do you think I'm taking enough levo susie ? Before starting NDT I was taking 150mcg levo but felt absolutely terrible when I changed to NDT a year ago I took 2 then 2.5 then 3 x 1 grain of armour but cut back to 2.5 towards the end, now I'm taking 75mcg levo and 18 mcg T3 by unipharma simply because iv found a supplier that sells it for £23 for 30 tablets making so affordable to be honest I was struggling to find the money for NDT at £145 with postage and customs, my gp has told me to repeat bloods in 2 months but I'm moving in 2 weeks so I suspect new gp may order a new blood test

I really don't know. I don't take NDT so don't know if you should change over and work out how much Levo plus T3 was in the NDT and do a like for like swap, or go lower or what. It's not something I have experience of so can't suggest if it's the right amount or not.

They immediately rang me to come in and see gp but they had no concerns about the thyroid result they were only concerned with the cholesterol levels

You will really need folate, ferritin, B12 and vitamin D tested too at 6 weeks on new dose

What supplements do you take?

See you're hoping to improve your ferritin with liver

As you have Hashimoto's Are you on strictly gluten free diet

Iv eaten liver once or twice a week for over 20 years to be honest, I asked for all those tests to be done but labs only did TSH Ft4 and Ft3 and they did do ferritin iv posted results for that and cholesterol and glucose, they refuse to do D3 B12 as they said they were fine that's how it is with the royal Cornwall hospital you can request it all you want but they usually refuse , I actually saw gp write on the form for the vit results myself and yes I have hashis and absolutely gluten free I find being gluten free very easy its dairy I struggle with

My list of supplements are never ending I take 4000 vit D3 a very good Bcomplex , selenium, ashwagandha , vit c , omega 3 , L glutamine, bio kult , vit E , organic turmeric, coconut oil capsules, I drink a pint of coconut water a day , I drink copious amounts of water , iv probably left a few supplements off lol I think my high cholesterol is in the family all my sisters have it my mum has it my aunt and nan had it , my brother has it , I was a tiny 5ft 8st woman until I reached 51 then in 18 months I gained 3 st and I blame my gp for refusing to prescribe my levo as they lost my medical history and they are still missing I went over 6 months with nothing I became desperately ill but gp refused to prescribe levo which resulted in my stroke in 2016 ,ever since iv been ill and struggling to get back in shape , I have never had high cholesterol until now but my gp knows it's not from poor diet as I eat healthy only and if i go out I'd rather starve than put processed rubbish in my body so I guess this is the result of being in my Gene's, I'm just wondering if exercise would help ? I struggle to do that as I'm lethargic best of times but since starting T4 and T3 I must admit I'm feeling pretty good so far and just literally packed up 22 boxes ready to move

Jodie

Are you aware that ashwagandha lowers cortisol? Are you taking it for this reason?

Thankyou, that was my last blood test whilst on NDT I'm now taking 75mcg T4 and 18mcg T3 I'm feeling ok at the moment so much more energetic than when I was taking NDT and I feel happier in myself and interestingly no palpitations or afib this week which is an absolute first as I'd been having daily palpitations and at least 3 afib attacks a week , I'm hoping it lasts I almost feel like the old me again except I'm 3 st bigger 😂
