Two per cent of women will suffer from thyroid issues (a medical condition impairing the function of the thyroid gland) at some stage during their life.

The risk of suffering thyroid problems has significantly increased over recent years, and both under and over active thyroid conditions can lead to many distressing symptoms, including hair thinning or hair loss.

We’ve teamed up with leading hair loss supplement, Nourkrin®, to give three readers the opportunity to win a six-month supply of Nourkrin® WOMAN worth over £300.

A drug-free supplement, Nourkrin® WOMAN, helps support, normalise and maintain the Hair Growth Cycle by providing those much needed nutrients to create healthy hair follicles. Simply take the supplement twice daily.

To be in with a chance to win, simply email your answer to the question below to:

Thank you lynmynott,

What a great prize! I have used one of their products recently and found it very good. I'm still wearing a fedora anytime I have to go out though. It does take time and the proper medication to restore your "crowning glory ".

Good luck to all who enter, 👍

It says 'the risk of suffering thyroid problems has significantly increased in recent years..' How so? Are women on 2015 really more likely to have thyroid problems than say, women in the 1970s for example? If so, why?

Hypothyroidism is certainly more prevalent now than then. The experts are not sure why although endocrine disruptors probably play a big part i.e. chemicals
