Margelatte, skip two or 3 doses and go back to 75mcg for a week. Then try 75/100mcg alternate days for a couple of weeks before increasing to 100mcg daily.

Thank you Clutter, I have been unwell actually taken to my bed since Thursday, I told my gp 100mcg daily was too much but she wouldn't listen, maybe it's time for another blood test and maybe another gp too. :(

Margelatte, If your TSH was high or your FT4 low, increasing dose was the right thing to do. Some people do struggle to tolerate dose increases which is why I suggested alternate 75/100 which is a gentler way. Low iron can also make it difficult to tolerate dose increases without feeling hyper and hypo so it may be worth asking for ferritin to be tested.

Agreed. Sometimes a 25 mcg jump in dose can be too sudden. 12.5 mcg is gentler.

I was taking 50/75 and my gp said I was 11.4 so to take 100...... It was fine for 2 weeks then bang I'm housebound..... So I think your right maybe try 75/100 . Thank you so much.

I've had a really bad ear infection too, my friend said that can upset your thyroid too. :(

Those are symptoms of over medication. Have your level retested.

I've decided to NOT take my levothyroxine today, not feeling worse in fact I've managed to get my decorations up, still not feeling brilliant though, but so far no anxiety.....tomorrow I will take 50mcg and the next day 75mcg. Does this sound right. Thank you all.
