Trying to find T3 or NDT online every website I come across states you need a Drs prescription for either of these? can someone pm me where I can order some without a drs prescription that's a safe reliable source?
I have my endo appointment in 2 weeks time and I am worried he is just going to increase my T4 ! As I've been on T4 for almost 4 years I've never felt good with increasing symptoms I don't see how increasing my dosage will do any good. Anyone had a marked decrease in symptoms with an increase in T4 I was originally on 50 mcg then increased to 100 mcg but didn't feel any improvement.
I am also suffering from daily migraines now so I cannot take any more of feeling this lousy and in pain on a daily basis my quality of life is zilch. Still waiting on a referral to NEURO about my migraines.
I've heard some people find T3 helps with migraines. Has anyone suffered from migraines that has tried NDT and found it helps?
Thanks

Tootired, adding T3 to Levothyroxine (T4) was very beneficial for me. Raised FT3 from below range and also calmed the adverse effects caused by T4 only. If migraines are due to low T3, adding some T3 may be helpful. Brain needs good levels of T3 to function properly.

I don't know about migraine but when I was on T4 only (due to a worldwide shortage of NDT) I had constant headaches, and I mean constant. I was obviously not converting T4 to T3 and was building up T4 in the blood and becoming thyrotoxic. I was also extremely short of breath and put on a lot of weight. Because my brain had ceased to function I did not make the link - nor did my GP. Once I stopped T4 and started NDT again I got a bit better, however, I had now stopped being able to tolerate any T4 and replaced this gradually to T3 under the guidance of Dr. Peatfield.
With my therapist's hat on, may be a mechanical problem in your neck, jaw or shoulders. Whiplash, tension or other injury can cause headaches as well as emotional trauma; always worth checking with a neuro.
