Aches and pains

I forgot to say I have recently stopped eating gluten. My mind seems clearer but I have lots of aching and soreness. I suppose this could have an effect as well. I started cutting out gluten about 5 weeks ago.

Some people get problems with gluten withdrawal. In my case I felt like I had a bad dose of flu.

If you have been strictly 100% gluten free for several weeks then I would have thought withdrawal should have worn off by now. You can't cheat with being gluten free (gf), it just doesn't work. If you have been cheating then you might just be prolonging the withdrawal problems.

Another possibility is that you have substituted gluten-containing foods with something your body doesn't like, or have increased your consumption of something your body isn't happy with.

If you want some help with going gf, there is another community on HealthUnlocked that you might find helpful - The Gluten Free Guerrillas :
