Very interesting abou testing, and normal results, but this can still mean that you have an underactive thyroid. So he explains about the further testing, and how important it is.

Hi Thank you for this posting. I am a little confused about the Iodine though? I thought I'd read that it wasn't good to supplement with Iodine if hypothyroid? Help anyone.
I had two lots of radioactive Iodine many years ago when I was hyperactive. The things I have read recently make me wish that I hadn't , in fairness to myself I innocently trusted the medical profession.
Me too, am still confused about the iodine, do we supplement or not. If I find a really clear and concise article I will post it.
I would really appreciate that thank you. I am under the impression that it is okay if hyperthyroid.. cheers ].

Hi langdocienne, I've just been reading this and think it as helped understand. See what you think.
Another good link, thank you langdocienne. Dr Mercola and Chris Kresser are both very interesting and informative [ooh, just notice about - thank you Mango_555 too].
I know, I'm the same... don't really know and would appreciate clarification. I think I've read somewhere that with Hashimoto's, using iodine is like 'throwing oil on a fire'... Need to read above
Yes Linda I've read that somewhere as well, about the oil on a fire. I started to take iodine last year, but found that I was even more tired than normal, so it's obviously not for me, I must have enough iodine.
