Temperature up and down

Hi does anyone else suffer from feeling very hot and uncomfortable, it wakes me up at night and sometimes I end up with a headache, I am currently on 125 levo waiting to see endo on 17th of this month. Just wondered if anyone else suffered thanks Hayley.

I get it mostly in the evenings. But ice always been overly hot then anyway. All through the 30years I've been hypo.

When my husband was alive I had to retreat to my bedroom mid evening as he would have the heating on and I would get too hot and ratty

Hi, I'm on 150 Levo, and every night I get really hot and uncomfortable especially in bed even with the window open in the winter needless to say my husband moans as his cold and wants heating on, I have gone through the change, but I don't think it's all to do with that, I. Sure it is the Thyroid. Hope this helps!

I wondered if my tablets were increased it might stop.

My tablets were increased from 125 to 150, but I was feeling really tired again like I did when they first found out I had a Thyroid problem, I was also putting on weight really quickly, I wouldn't say I felt really unwell, but at the same time I didn't feel great!

Sometimes we can feel quite hot but our temp has barely risen. You should take your temp when you feel hot. I have done so but my temp had barely moved. You can chart your temp several times a day, starting with a Basal Temp test and then normal way several times a day.

Sometimes when hypo our temp never reaches max but as long as we feel warm instead of very cold (symptom) our dose is working. If our temp is high we should consider reducing dose slightly.

Thankyou I will get thermometer, my husband says I felt cold but I felt so hot inside my head( if you know what I mean ).

Yes I understand. Re thermometer, if you want to do the Basal Temp test don't get one that beeps as it has to be under arm for 10mins at least.

Hi. High temps for years. Misdiagnosed side effects from chemical menopause. Only when I finally managed to combine T4/T3 did I get any relief . Not perfect but huge improvement

(20 years they let me struggle saying it would pass)

Wow.. I have only been like it for couple of weeks, not really sure why but does drive me mad..

I only have to move a bit and I feel on fire .

I had that for a very long time then someone told me about a chillow so I invested in one and it worked they are pillows that you can put cold water in and are really comfortable best of all it helps the night sweats my dose is 125

I have dropped my Amour from 105 to 75 seems to have worked for me, i got fed up with the ups and downs esp at night when i'd wake up wet through but then hosimoto's isn't helpful . I've got used to being told this is it for you over the last 20 odd years. Esp since Dr Skinner died there is no where to go!
