I get tingling at night in my arms and hands - they go numb and I have to wake and flap them, which I think is common in hypoT. If I sit still at a desk the legs and feet begin to go too.
Could be low B12 as well.
Haven't had it in the back yet though.
I've had awful tingling/blood rushing feeling in my arms for quite a few years. It's not painful but very uncomfortable and almost makes you want to scream! Before being diagnosed with under active thyroid in July I thought it may be connected to the menopause. But after a couple of months on levo it stopped. However, it returned recently and I could tell from that and other symptoms that I needed an increase in dose. This has done the trick. So I now believe it is caused by the thyroid.
PS, makes me wonder if autistic children who hand flap have pins and needles.
I have something that feels like "humming" throughout my body. It's a very hard symptom to describe to the doctors, and one they have happily ignored. I am on B12 injections, which don't seem to make any difference to the feeling.
I get a feeling of blood rushing thruogh my body. It has been suggested to chech thyroid and vitamin b levels. I have underactive thyroid,so am already taking thyroxine. But will try vit b, maybe ask dr for injections.
