Hello Queenofsh,

Welcome to our forum.

If you are referring to thyroid testing, I always ask for ask for FT4, FT3, & TSH.

If you have never been tested for thyroid antibodies, ask for TPOAb & TGAb.

If in UK, many GP's don't test T3 and some not T4 either.

You are welcome to post results complete with ranges (numbers in brackets) if you would like members to comment.

Private testing is available at link below.thyroiduk.org.uk/tuk/testin...

Yes I've been tested for all them last year, I have hashimotos too, but was just asking about repeat blood tests because when I went for my 6 month blood test today I could only see a full blood count, liver function test, and a TFT3 test?

in reply to Queenofsh

All thyroid function tests would include the TSH.

If you have had T3 tested, that is good as is informative.

TFT stands for Thyroid function test. I don't know what the 3 means. The Thyroid function test means they test TSH plus whatever else they decide in important. If you TSH is out of range they test more then if it is in range.
