So, I have taken my health in my own hands and been reading my way through scholarly articles. I recently went to theranos and got direct to consumer blood testing. Sigh. My too high iron/sat/binding is now too low. It went from the last results of 156 iron, 42% sat, binding around 400 to 40 iron, 10% sat and 360 ish binding. WTF? How does that happen? I also discovered the essential mineral lithium is at less than .1. The range is 1-1.2. My calcitonin is above normal 7.5 (range tops out at 5). And my immune assays look.. weird to me. IGA is totally normal. IGM is low normal, IGG is low normal and IGE is off the charts (tops out at 87, mine is 177). Now, I'm not having any allergy symptoms. I took allergy shots many years ago. All of my immune assays have always come back as normal, even hashis although they are positive I have hashis (biopsy) and my thyroid is moderately inflamed. Inflamed means an inflammatory process. There should be elevations (especially since my hashis was untreated for about 27 years). There are processes which can cause the IGM and IGG triggers to switch over to IGE. I am wondering if that is what is happening. And/or other inflammatory problems (not creating antibodies, etc.). I spoke to an online doctor because mine is a jerk at times. He said to definitely go to a hematologist and a rheumatologist. any thoughts?
