I had been diagnosed with an over active thyroid about a year ago.

I have been taking Carbimazole for ten months now, starting with 40mg/day.

The dosage was gradually reduced to 5mg/day.

I have been charting my test results, see below.

Date TSH T4 Carb mg T3

Nov-14 <-.1 36.20 0

Dec-14 <.01 45.00 started 29/12/14 40 mg

Feb-15 0.41 10.50 40 Note1)

Mar-15 4.20 11.40 20 Note2)

Apr-15 9.30 11.00 10

20/05/2015 1.10 14.60 10 Note 3)

23/06/2015 0.08 18.20 5 6

22/07/2015 0.02 21.20 5 8.1

27/07/2015 0.01 20.00 5

24/08/2024 0.04 16.00 10 Note 4)

Note 1) Reduced carb dosage to 20mg/day appr. 20/02/2015

Note 2) Reduced carb dosage to 10mg/day appr. 20/03/2015

Note 3) Reduced carb dosage to 5mg/day appr. 30/05/2015

Note 4) Increase carb dosage to 10/day on 27/07/2015

I think that my thyroid is far from settled. The reduction of carb to 5mg/day

seemed to have put me back into hyper mode.

What do you think?

Further, why do GP's generally do not test for my T3 levels, even though my test results are erratic?

Unfortunately, the schedule appears difficult to read and looks nothing like the format I pasted.

I would appreciate any advice.
