or the other way around. a teenager found out they were highly sensitive to peanut butter and peanuts and they had high tsh but normal t3 t4.....after going off peanuts for 2 months....a different person.....shocking...but they were also low in b12 but had headaches and fatigue and all the hypo . one dr wanted to put on meds and the other dr said no...just wait.....glad they waited

Peanuts are goitrogenic. That might have had something to do with it.

well he never had to go on thyroid meds....the sensitivity test measures one to 3 and 3 being the worse..and that was his staple food peanuts...or PB as a snack....a nature path dr did the test..it is a blood test ....he said food sensitivities can cause all systems in body to throw off and if you know what your 3s are and get rid of deficiencies , everything will go back to normal.....well I am shocked bec it did....he was put on omega 3 liquid, vit b12, a dr grade multi, amino acids, ordered to exercise 30 min a day and work up to a hour, ordered to eat whole foods and no sugar or processed or less sugar....and eat 3 meals a day , go to bed on time . He went from dragging , sleeping all day, migraines, moody, distant and detached, irritable and miserable to a normal person in 2 months with joy again and smiling with energy, no morning day naps etc....amazing!!!!!

I would also like to note that his blood sugar was elevated, his kidney function was down so he put him on cranberry pills, his bad cholesterol was elevated etc.....all this went away.....

YES! You will be much more sensitive to things. Personally I am intolerant to maize in any form so I don't take tablets if I can help it and even then I check to make sure there is NO maize in it. Why would I want to make myself more ill?

Well I've been sensitive and intolerant to fruit and veg for almost 6 years, in fact since I had my daughter, and coincidentally or not I haven't been right since!!

But seemingly it's common in hypothyroidism!!!

:-(

Unfortunately yes, except grapes, I can eat up to 5 grapes!!!

And a tablespoon full of peas!!!

I'm soooo awkward

That is terrible! i've never heard of anyone like that. Must be very difficult for you. What on earth do you live on? You must be very deficient in some vits and mins.

Sorry for the delay only now notified of your reply!!!Basically the only good food I can eat and tolerate is bagged salad, basically lettuce and grated carrot and a small amount of grated cabbage.

I can eat pasta and bread but after learning it I get so bloated and uncomfortable and burp all day after that I avoid it 😧 fresh chicken breast and good quality ham, that's my food diet, but I eat a fair bit of chocolate which I'm craving a lot of lately x

I'm living on parsnips, peas, beef and chicken and only drink water.im having tests for a mast cell disease but I was hoping it was just with me thyroid 😁... But not looking that way 😢

Oh dear. That doesn't sound good. But just because they're doing tests for something, doesn't mean you've got it. They usually do tests to rule things out, rather than rule them in.
