Hi

I had my thyroid removed 18 months ago on 75/100 levo alternate days . I have had dry skin but now I have what seems to be burning skin on both my eyelids and under my left eye. No new soap or moisturisers being used.

Is this a new levo problem?

It would appear to be from these links below:-

Ask your chemist to change your levothyroxine to another make and it may be the fillers/binders in your present one which is causing you the problem. We can be sensitive and if the symptom doesn't clear and this awful effect doesn't stop the doctor will have to prescribe something else. One of the NDT's which he can prescribe on a named-patient basis is hypo-allergenic. He can even prescribe T3 only to see if it will halt your very unpleasant symptom.

We have enough going on in our bodies without the adverse effects some may have.
