Are you taking your Levo at night Razzar? I am and it's made a huge difference.

Am thinking of changing my timings to see if sleep will improve. Do you take with food or on an empty stomach?

At bed time so usually a couple of hours after my meal. 😄

When I was on levo I used to take it at night time actually tried both ways. I was under medicated due to malabsortion to t4 which is levothroxine. Endo took me off it. My doc had not picked it up for whatever reason. Was put on Liothyronine T3 nearly 5 weeks ago 30mcgs every 24 hrs. I know this is a starting dose but my swelling in my fingers ankles have gone and my weight is dropping. I'm not saying it's a miracle as everyone's different but it's nice to have some e energy back after basically having no effective treatment for 4 years as mine was not working for me. No idea wether endo will keep me just on t3 I hope so I feel like I'm a actually recovering slowly. I don't want to get my hopes up only my next lot of bloods will tell. I did try taking my levo on a empty stomach and after food with no difference but think everyone is different. I have heard other people say they found a improvement taking their Levo at night. Some split their doses I think it's different for everyone. Knowing my luck haha I won't be able to sleep tonight lol . X😀

Hi when you go for more bloods please remember not to take any t3 the day before. as it will skew your results.

Is that a whole 24 hours before the test ??

Yes because if you take your t3 as usual the result will be a too high t3 reading and he might want to lower your dose.

I was thinking about getting tested for sleep apnoea when I manage to fall asleep I wake myself up feeling like I can't breathe. It's pretty scary. So do you sleep better now you have it mask they don't look very comfortable things to wear. The amount of times I've woken up in night its exhausting. I started sleeping sitting up at one point. I'm just putting mine down to the hypo. I guess like everything u get used to it. It must be hard having to give up work. Let's hope you have a good night too x

hi Razzar1977 if you get yourself tested for sleep apnoea you get tested at home with a little machine you put on to finger just before bed then it as to be back at hospital next day its ready how much oxygen is in your body at night mine read that i was stop breathing some 30 x per hour every hour the mask there is two chooses i've got the full face mask and the first night i put is on it felt strange but i sleep like a log i couldn't believe how refreshed i felt the next morning i've had it now for six years and you don't know your wearing it it fit so comfortable you never now that you have it on. i wear it at night or if i go during the day the mask is on, i hope it helps you get some good nights sleep let me know if you have to wear one but i hope you didn't sleep apnoea or in my case server sleep apnoea it can be a killer but i don't what that to frighten you, it just depends on you oxygen level at night take care sweet dreams big hugs from me to you my friend Alan xxxx

What the difference between the 2 sleep apnea ... I never heard of server sleep apnoea before will have to Google it. Well it's not a nice sensation feels a bit like when ur underwater and can't breath. Well it's worth looking at. Sometimes ur worried to go to sleep in case it happens . Let's hope I get some sleep tonight haha xx

in reply toRazzar1977

hi Razzer1977 if you have the mask you will be safe because if you stop breathing the machine speeds up and put more oxygen into you body and you wake up turn over and back to sleep no worries trust me please i would cause you any harm your very pretty i would hurt you or anyone take care Alan xxx
