I have to see my GP on Thursday for the results of my bloodwork. After being on Levothyroxine 75 mcg for 6 weeks, the readings are: Tsh - 8.35. T3-31. T4-8.1. Free T4-2.5

Still feel pretty poor. Any comments before I see him?

Friskypaw, it's easy to see why you feel so unwell, TSH 8.35! You are undermedicated on 75mcg. Most people feel comfortable with TSH just above or below 1.0. TSH levels rise with age and 3.0 is considered normal in >75s so you should certainly be looking for a reduction to 3.0, if not lower.

If you can post the ranges (figure in brackets) for T3, T4 and FT4 I'll try to interpret.

Dose increases are usually in 25mcg increments every 6-8 weeks until symptoms subside or TSH target is achieved. Symptoms can lag behind good biochemistry by a couple of months.
