I noticed some of the results are flagged? I've only spoken to go in phone but have an appointment next week. They say I only need vit d and folic acid?

Mama-T,

I deleted your plasma glucose post as your name and address were visible and you probably don't want all and sundry seeing it.

Plasma glucose 5.9 (3.7-5.6)

TSH 0.42 is fine but FT4 17 is a little low and ideally would be around 21.

Vitamin D 22 is deficient. Your GP should prescribe loading doses followed by maintenance doses.

ps your full name is also visible on the scanned photo.

Sorry, I thought I'd cropped the photo enough so my details weren't on it :-/ at the moment I'm on 800iu vit D? A few people have said this isn't a high enough dose to get my levels back up

Mama-t, it's not nearly enough. You need 10,000iu for 6-8 weeks and then reduce to 5,000iu for 3-4 months and retest.

I was prescribed 40,000iu for 2 weeks followed by 2,000iu daily which raised vitD from <10 to slightly >100.

Not what you're looking for?
