Hi , I have just had all my test back including ft3 ft4 . Everything normal . I am on 200 mcg levothyroxine . However I am getting symptoms that I had pre diagnosis . I have been on thyroxine for 5 yrs .
I would like to transfer to Armour but haven't got a clue how to go about it , or is the right thing to do ?
Can anyone advise I am concerned I am going to lose my job and 30 yrs nhs pension due to disciplinary as my performance has been hindered and sickness increased (no understanding what's so ever in nhs re thyroid problems )
Thanks in advance
Jane

I had the same but just asked Dr's receptionist for print-out and was given it, no problem.
Unfortunately many doctors don't know that we can still be hypo even though we are within their 'normal' ranges. Their normal ranges are inadequate for many people.
As Jane suggested get a copy from the surgery. Blood tests are only a guide and it is how the patient feels which should be a priority. It's ridiculous that they tell you how you are feeling just by looking at a computer print-out. Post your results with the ranges on a new question if you don't have them today.
It would be good if your GP could add some T3 to your T4. I found an improvement when that happened to me but many GPs wont even try.
If you put a post up requesting info on how to get T3, add 20mcg or 25mcg to 50mcg reduction of T4. Also, NDT - its quite easy to swop, 1 grain of NDT is equal approx to 100mcg levo. With either T3 or NDT I am sure you will feel much better and it's better than your job being put on line especially as it is the NHS guidelines which are keeping you unwell.
T3 like T4 is prescription only. Some doctors will prescribe an addition of T3 to T4. If the doctor is willing to prescribe NDT he can prescribe on a 'named patient basis' which is:
If you put up a new post asking for a Private Message to be sent to you if a members has information re getting T3 or NDT. They will respond. You can also use the search on the right-hand side and you will see previous posts. This is a link and other topics are at the top of the page:
