Any advice please.

I was diagnosed with graves about 18 months ago. Apparently my levels are ok now (don't have the numbers at the mo) and I've been off carbimazole for about 3 months. However I'm still struggling with some of the symptoms I originally went to the drs with over 2 years ago. Mainly fatigue and pains/numbness in my arms and hands. I've been on b12 injections for approx 9 months and these have been increased to every 10 weeks by my Dr who believes it may be due to being deficient for so long. My fatigue does get worse about 8 weeks after my injections which does improve after my next one but I don't seem to have any improvement in my arm pains. I'm also taking vit d 800 every day. My Dr wants me to stick with the 10 weekly injections for a few months to see if there's any improvement but I've done 2 on this cycle with no improvements to the pain, just the fatigue. Does anyone have any idea what the next step is? My Dr has now left the surgery so I have to make an appointment with another and I would like to go armed with a definate plan as I can be a bit of a pushover who just does what they are told 😀 Thanks for any help x

Samspam, What was your vitD result when you started supplmenting vitD? 800iu is a very low dose and may not be sufficient. Low vitamin D can cause musculoskeletal pain.

Hi, Thanks for the reply. I don't have exact results but they put me on 20,000 for the first 2 weeks then this since then. My last blood showed it was in the acceptable range. I did ask the Dr if I needed to increase to get it into the optimal range but she said no. I'm thinking now I should increase this. Thanks

Samspam, optimal is 75-200 and most members will be happy with vitD around 100.
