The last two mri's I have had have been awful. I felt like like I was burning up from the inside out. Felt very weak and sick. I have looked it up and others feel the same thing.

I have had many previous mri's and they were fine.

Amssmith7, did they inject you with a contrast dye containing iodine?

No it was for my leg x

I had a bad reaction to last mri - acute, debilitating vertigo with vomiting and diarrhoea for 7 hours.

A year prior, on another mri, i felt like i was being boiled from the inside.

I did some research and found that - although a well kept secret, MRIs can cause vertigo.

I have tattoos and felt like they were literally heating up to boiling point.

The NHS tends to fob you off and say its nothing. I am now due a brain scan which i have decided to turn down.

If you have mercury fillings, mercury will be lodged all over your body. It must be technically possible for it to heat up and shift, not to mention what the mri might do to your fillings.
