Blood results
Mojo, Are you on Levothyroxine replacement?
No nothing my gp has told me to have bloods done again in three months thyroid and anti bodies
Mojo, that's the usual protocol to rule out non-thyroidal illness like a virus as a cause of elevated TSH. Arrange your next thyroid blood test early in the morning, before breakfast but drink water, as TSH is highest then.
Are you vegetarian? Your B12 and folate are low in range.
No I do eat meat mostly chicken though what can I do to improve this
Thanks for your reply clutter😊
Mojo, I'd be inclined to ask your GP to check intrinsic factor to rule out pernicious anaemia before doing anything. If PA is confirmed you will need lifelong B12 injections.
If PA is ruled out you should supplement 5,000mcg methylcobalamin sublingual lozenges, spray or patches for 8 weeks to boost B12 level and then reduce to 1-2,000mcg daily. Take a B Complex too to keep the other B vitamins balanced and to improve your folate level.
