I have blood test results for hypothyroidism, which fall within the normal range. Great. Sadly, I have loads of symtoms, not slight & not imaginary, which might indicate some kind of endocrinological disorder. My GP has agreed to refer me to a consultant, but I'd rather avoid the kind who just take basic tests and scoff. I need one willing to try to help me improve my health. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Unfortunately symptoms can precede abnormal bloods by months/years but it is unusual to get NHS treatment until TSH is >5 or 6 or FT4 below range. It's a good idea to obtain printouts of your results with the lab ref ranges (figures in brackets after results) so you can track your progress and post the results and ranges for advice.

I tried the e-mail but they say they don't have a louise warvill - do you have a more recent contact?
Gettingquiteannoyed,
Louise is PA to Lyn Mynott CEO of TUK. The office isn't open weekends and louise.warvill@thyroiduk.org.uk is the correct address. Perhaps you could try again later.
