Hi, has anyone used MediChecks in Nottingham for this test?

(They are quite a bit cheaper than others I've seen - £39 for the test)

I've not used them yet, but I did speak to them the other day & they have just reduced their prices. This is a permanent reduction, not just a special offer. The TSH, T4 & T3 profile is only £59.

That's a very good price. I might try that one as I won't have any more tests from Dr for another year I guess.

This finger prick suits me too as as private phlebotomists are rare as hens teeth in my town - I have failed to find one.

No but have bookmarked their website. Useful that a finger prick can be done too.

Great price and you don't have to pay out for a private phlebotomist, winner! I'll be using them when I need to.

Yes I've used them for lots of tests and they are excellent.

I have used Medichecks on several occasions for other finger prick tests and also my most recent FSH, FT3 and FT4. They are excellent and good value, would definitely recommend them.

Call me cynical, but are they cheap because they are gearing up for when NHS refuse to do the tests? Does sound like a bargain, so I will be checking them out. Thanks for posting.

I have just got a kit from blue horizon for FT3 test, £29 with TUK discount, but boy oh boy have I had a problem trying to get a nurse from my surgery to draw the blood for me. I eventually asked my GP if he would permit the nurse to take my blood, thank goodness he agreed. I shall look into the site you mentioned bobsmydog, as we know we need these tests, but when money is tight at times, its good to find other affordable ways.Thank you Bev.
