For the last 3 months I`ve had a red scaly rash on my right thigh. It doesn`t itch or hurt, but it looks repulsive, like the skin of a reptile. Iv`e read that this can be a sign of underactive thyroid, but surely the medication I`m on should take care of this? I put tons of aqueous cream on it, but it hasn`t improved. How can I get rid of it?

A red scaly rash could be psoriasis. It would be a good idea to get it checked out by a doctor. Depending on what it is, a doctor should be able to prescribe an appropriate cream to help clear it up. You may need a steroid cream. Lack of itching or soreness suggests it isn't infected which is a good sign but it is still wise to get it checked out.

If it is psoriasis try hydrous ointment instead of aqueous as it's richer & only about £4 from Boots for a huge tub. If it is psoriasis stress will set it off & it will go when it's good & ready - mine's coming out again & having a load of grief with my local hospital
Hope you get it sorted out soon,
